The Peri-urban Weed Management Partnerships (PWMP) program is a 2-year competitive grants program providing funding from 2025-27 to protect native plant and animal species from invasive weeds in Melbourne's peri-urban areas.
If you own or manage a waterway on your property, you may be eligible for a grant for many activities including revegetation, weed control and fencing.
Our Assessors will visit your property and discuss your project idea, the types of activities we fund and how much funding you would like to apply for.
Weed control grants are available to help landholders control noxious and environmental weeds on private land.
Eligible activities include:
• Hiring contractors.
• Purchase of herbicides.
• Weed control aimed at control of high-threat weeds in areas of high biodiversity (in or near bushland, in biolink corridors). • Weed control on land greater than 4000m2.
The Victorian Government funds the Victorian Landcare Grants to support Landcare and environmental volunteer groups and networks with on-ground works, education and capacity building projects that protect and restore our land and natural environment.
Project grants of up to $20,000 for activities to protect or improve natural assets such as native vegetation, native fauna, waterways, wetlands and soils.
